I have been trying to improve on my action photography and taking pictures for my son’s soccer team has been great for practice.
I have taken some really good photos and some really bad ones. The first game, I was unfortunately on the sideline facing the sun, which required a different approach. During another game, I had the sun behind me, which gave me the best angle. I was able to take this photo of my son kicking the ball right on the line and keeping the ball in play.
I used a Nikon D90 with Quantaray 70-300mm lens set at a focal length of 220mm. This was a 1/640 second exposure with an F stop of 9.0 and the ISO was set to 320.
